Dearest cinephiles,
Join us to celebrate the upcoming Spring Equinox and welcome the turn of the season with the next screening in our GUTS OF ALBION season.
It is a time of awakening after the winter slumber, of nature’s rebirth and renewal, of setting intentions and seizing chances.
To honour this pivotal time in the Pagan calendar, SECRET CEREMONY is partnering with food artist and culinary it-boy, Barney Pau, to bring you an evening inspired by the experimental documentary ARCADIA (2017).
We’ll be screening the film surrounded by greenery in a florists, and serving a curated tasting menu to match the movie. The drinks will flow, and George Hoyle, South London’s finest folk singer, will provide the music.
Seats are extremely limited for this one, so book now to avoid disappointment.
ARCADIA (2017)
The film is a short fever dream of the British countryside, composed of archival footage that builds and tears down a narrative of pastoralism. It is breathtaking both in its devastation and its beauty. Expect a juicily aesthetic hour of seductive visuals, meshed together at a high tempo.
